Topic #6 - Biggest Lesson this Semester

The biggest problem I faced when I came to the U.S is time. It was so complicated because I had every day classes from 8 to 5, which made me so tired. I could not study very well; I did not have many options. When I finished the classes, I tried to study, but I could not concentrate what I am study, or took a nap, but made me sleep late at night. Now I usually study during the break because that reduces the pressure on me.  

Topic #5 My Favorite Place

Barcelona is one of most places I want to visit. I usually see it at TV, the reason for I want to visit Barcelona, that I am big fan of Barcelona football team, it has one of the big stadiums in the world. Barcelona has a lot of culture; Arabic culture is clearly marked, Mexican, and Asian. A  Friend of mine spent his honeymoon in Barcelona said Barcelona has a phenomenal atmosphere, unique, and so charming.

Topic #4 Major

I studied Hospitality and Tourism Management. I chose it because it was a new major in my country, and I wanted to try something new. Actually I was looking for a new major because I did not want to study prevailing majors like Business, or Computer. My friend told me there is a new major for hospitality read about it”, I liked it and I decided to take a chance to study it. I learned from that major how to convince the customers, how I can increase the profit in institution I work for, and how I can face the problems and what the solution I have. I think that will help my in the job. I am looking for Master degree, after I finish and if I have a chance to get PHD I will love to.     

Topic #3 Obstacles

I do not have any obstacles in my live. Every thing was good until I came to the US. I took a while to get used to live here, but it was not obstacle. I think the most obstacles I have faced to pass the TOFEL test. I think it takes a while because it is not my fluent language, but it is not impassible.    

Topic #1 Spring Break 2013

Actually in this spring break I was planning to visit San Francisco, but I have Few tests after spring break I have to study most of the time, may be  I will go to Sea World in San Diego.  

I Cannot Live without...

The most Important thing that i cannot live without it is cell phone. It is very useful every thing on it such as notes, pictures,and contacts. i do not need laptop  to check my email, twitter, and Facebook. I am using the instant social network such as what's up, and the visual program like Tango and facetime to see my family in Saudi Arabia. When i came to the US i got used to be without car for few months, but i could not stay a few hours without my cell phone. If i do not have it I am going to be like Tom Hanks in castaway.

 

Topic #4: Which Language?

I have passion to learn Spanish. Most of the world speaking Spanish, another thing I want to visit Spain especially Barcelona, because a lot of culture in this city, and the important thing for me is visit Barcelona football club. It is my favorite club, and it’s the best club in the world. I have friend he study’s in Spain and he said spinach is difficult but is so interesting.    

Which holiday has the most meaning for you

Eid al-feter is the most meaning for me, because it comes after long month of fasting. We usually prepare for this holiday by buying new clothes. The adult usually in this holiday gives the kids presents ; such as, money, chocolate, and toys. During the holiday we visit the relative, and friends, some people prefer to travel and celebrate outside the country, while the others prefer to celebrate with families.     

Topic #2: The Strangest Thing

I like to eat , but i do not like to eat meat. I was eat meat , but before several years i decided to stop eat it. I love to try new food especially Asian. Before few days I tried new sea food it call Oyster , and it wrote in the menu it is raw, it is very good, i love it with chilly sauce.
 I would like to eat Japanes food, unifortunatly i did not eat suchi yet.

Hello every one my name is Arif. I am from Saudi Arabia. I born in Madinah city.I have tow brothers and one sister. I graduate from Business in Hospitality school in 2007. I worked in a bank for five years.I have beautiful daughter Talya, she is tow years. I love Chinese food and seafood. i love to play video games and challenge my Friends on it  that  exiting. My favorite soccer team is Barcelona 

I decide to come to US especially CSUF, i searched about the best English program and i found it is one of the best program, I chosed California because I visited before I like it. I am looking to get Master degree in Business, CSUF has one of the best besiness school in the US.
